Achievements

  • FOSH has made a donation of £5000 towards the refurbishment of Moor Lodge into a Year 11 Common Room
  • The Infant Department has requested a ‘Visualiser’ – which is a projector attachment – and FOSH has contributed £500 towards this.

FOSH purchases – these are just some of the items we have been able to purchase for the girls with your support.

  • 2008-2009
  • £8874 was generated by FOSH events during the year of which £6156 was contributed towards School projects including the purchase of tents, a weather station, Junior School playground equipment and drums. Money was raised through the FOSH Ball, the sale of Christmas wrapping paper, the Craft Fayre and the Second-Hand Uniform sale. Bags2School on 7 October 2009 raised £328
  • 2005 – Junior School playground equipment
  • 2004 – PA system, 2nd digital camera, 2 x interactive whiteboards (What is an Interactive White Board?) playground trolley equipment, minibus booster seats, stacking chairs
  • 2003 – 3rd minibus, digital camera
  • 2002 – Digital camera, radio mikes, buddy sign
  • 1998 – Donation to Minerva Appeal
  • 1997 – Senior school piano, Christmas tree
  • 1996 – Satellite dish, TV, video, camera
  • 1994 – 2nd Minibus, Christmas trees, lights and decorations, music stool, weather recording instrument
  • 1993 – Track suits, chess sets, concept keyboard tool board, tubs and garden bulbs
  • 1992 – Computer and two-colour printers
  • 1991 – Camcorder
  • 1990 – Video equipment, computers
  • 1989 – Computer for Careers Room, team sweaters, weather recording equipment, art easels
  • 1988 – Outdoor equipment, roof rack for minibus, computers
  • 1987 – First Minibus purchased

Senior School

  • Items for the new Common Room, microwave, fridge and ‘all-weather’ lockers
  • Duke of Edinburgh equipment – maps and tents
  • Computerised sewing machine for Senior School Technology
  • Data Logging equipment for Senior School
  • Hockey shirts

Infant School

  • Fixed canopy over the playground which would enable outside activities when wet and provide shelter for waiting parents at the back of No 4 Melbourne Avenue for the Reception and Infant girls
  • Further development of play area around back and side of canteen
  • Interactive whiteboard and equipment for Junior School Language room
  • Sun canopy for the Infant/Junior play area
  • Digital cameras for Infant/Junior School
  • Musical Pathway for the Infant/Junior school play area
  • Visualiser for the Infant School

General
Outside benches and more seating generally

Money raised last year from events totalled £11,178 which made it possible to fulfil Wish List requests from the Senior, Junior and Infant School.
