‘Motorvators’ make Yorkshire Final!
A selection of Y10 students took part in the Coca Cola Challenge during enterprise week this November. The students brief was to come up with an enterprising idea that was based around the Olympics in 2012.
Hollie Watson, Danielle Freeman, Faith Parkin, Georgia Azzi & Lauren Bingham came up with the idea of painting the Olympic Buses for the disabled with a Laura Ashley Patchwork theme. The plan was to brighten up the transport that the Para Olympians would use to be transported to and from the Olympic events. To make money they then came up with the idea of selling advertising space on the buses to the Olympic sponsors such as Coca Cola & Kodak.
Motorvators were chosen to represent Sheffield at the Yorkshire Final and presented with confidence and maturity to a panel of judges at Xscape in Castleford. They finished tied in first place on points with two other schools and narrowly missed out on the national finals. A great achievement for our first year in the competition!
