New ‘heights’ as trampolining teams bounce their way to the top!

National Champions again? Not just in one age group but in two! Sheffield High School had yet again another ‘first’ with a double Championship win at the National Schools Trampoline Finals!

Having qualified from the North with three teams at U19 A & B and U15 levels, plus four individuals, the team of 13 travelled down to Bristol with a dream of going one better than 2009 finals results of U19 team being placed 2nd in the country and the U15 Champions.

The dream was realised in a nail biting finish after a long wait as the organisers announced that not only had the U19B team achieved a creditable 5th place in the country but both the U15 & 19A teams had become the National Champions for 2010!

‘After the compulsory round, I was disappointed with my performance but my voluntary, which includes tuck back and tuck front, pulled me up to take 2nd place in the country’, said 2010/11 school trampolining captain Thalia Caddy who had the highest individual placing of the Sheffield High girls.

The girls involved were:

U13 Novice
Individual Chloe Pryce (Year 7)

U15 Novice
Team – Paige Winspear (Year 10), Tori Wensley (Year 9), Tal Hackett (Year 9) and Sarah Bower (Year 9)

U19 Novice
A Team – Thalia Caddy (Year 12), Emily Green (Year 13), Sophie Green (Year 11) and Morgan Sykes (Year 13)
B Team – Emma Hillitt (Year 13), Rachel Mossman (Year 11), Colette Fisher (Year 11) and Maxine Sykes (Year 11)
