Sixth Form Centre

The Sixth Form is housed separately in large Victorian premises on Melbourne Avenue for the exclusive use of sixth formers.

The Sixth Form Centre has its own Hall, specialist teaching rooms, ICT and quiet study areas, a careers room and two large common rooms which have recently been fully refurbished. Here students can relax, share ideas and make a drink or heat up a snack.

But growing demand for places in our Sixth Form means that we now need to provide more for our students and an impressive extension to our existing facilities was completed during the summer of 2010.

Consultation with our sixth formers was ongoing during the planning phase and the new building now incorporates a large new Learning Resource Centre exclusively for use by sixth formers with key study material, laptop computers, a Virtual Learning Environment and a wealth of careers resources.

But it’s not all work! Our students will also benefit from a new café and kitchen diner in which to relax and unwind with outdoor decked spaces in which to socialise.
